Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, and the Fey

In the universe of Langwon, the Old Races (demihumans) are on the decline. Their time is drawing to a close. On the Langwonian continent, the Great Elfwood is the last enclave of the High Elves. The Dwarves command the northern reaches of the Ironclaw Mountains. Gnomes now dwell mostly in Langwon and smaller cities, alongside humans. Halflings seem to be adapting to the new world best, living alongside humans in their cities and in their own country towns as they always have. Still, the world seems to be about 85% human, a massive change from past ages.

Connections to the Feywild are much weaker than in eons past. With the rise of the Source and Anti-Source as dominant powers on this plane of existence, the Lords of the Feywild want little to do with the world of humans. Encountering the Fey is still possible, but much rarer that it once was, and the Fey take no great liking to the human race.
